Backpackers, New Zealand Wants You!
If you're feeling like you need some time away, you may want to consider living and working in New Zealand for a while.
Up until now, Australia may have been the destination of choice for many backpackers in need of work, in part because it was still relatively easy to get a work permit, but things are changing and New Zealand is opening its doors a little wider.
The New Zealand Working Holiday program has just changed some of its rules, which means that you now have more chances of getting approved.
Starting July 1, 2005, British tourists will be able to stay and work longer in New Zealand. Restrictions will also be lifted for tourists from the US and some other parts of Europe.
So if you're between 18 and 30 years old, get that application in now. Oh, and when you're there, send us an e-mail or some pictures, we like that!
